GET TO KNOW LIVING WATERS

Local Ministries

Since Living Waters Church first started, we have been working on a strategy to help us fulfill our mission.  Like most churches, we have worship, children’s and young adult ministry, women’s ministry, outreach events, etc.  But we have also gone the next step to look at an overall church strategy that helps us ask the question, “Why?”  Why do we offer some ministries and not others?  How do all of our ministries fit together?  This has been our process of “rethinking church.”

“Rethinking church" isn’t just some catchy phrase or tagline. It is a philosophy of ministry that causes us to take a bold and serious look at the way we do church. There are many different kinds of churches doing many kinds of ministries but we realized that we wanted to do a few ministries and do them well.

Our precept for ministry is biblically based, not that we don’t address a contemporary culture with contemporary problems; we do. But we find in God’s Word a foundational approach to help society through the church. We think that this is what the church should be doing.

What We Do

Living Waters is about creating a new and different church experience. It’s a place to get away from routine, learn something new, gain friendships, and celebrate God’s working in our lives.

Living Waters is not about denominations or division - it’s about community.

We value the image of God in all people... everywhere. Everyone is a sacred creation of God. We were created to live deeply with one another - carrying each other’s burdens, sharing our possessions, praying for and confessing our sins to one another, suffering with each other, and celebrating together. It’s in these honest, loving relationships that God transforms us. The way of Jesus cannot be lived alone.
